Hiya! Welcome to my blog/site :) I plan to use this space to write about my journey to becoming a published writer. Over on the Stories page you can also find some of my writing. I'll (hopefully) be adding to it as I go, so if you like what you read then make sure you check back for more.
My blog will also be a place for me to write about what's going on in my life, thoughts and feelings, how I'm progressing with my first novel, things like that. If you like my blog, feel free to keep up with that too!
It occurs to me that I haven't actually introduced myself. Yes I have an About Me page, but since the Blog page is the first one you come to, I better give a quick spiel here too. My name is Kate O'Connor and I'm a homegrown Aussie bushkid. I'm currently 29 years old, and living in a beautiful mountain town in BC, Canada on a working permit. I write short stories, fan fiction, and am in the process of writing my first horror novel.
The most important thing that you need to know about me (besides my love of reading and writing) is that Stephen King is my main man. He's my idol, and a good review from him would be a dream come true.... just imagine! Anyway, I've always loved his books and tend to go on SK binges, reading nothing but SK for months on end. I'm working on collecting a 1st edition copy of every book he's ever published, and my pride and joy is a signed 1st edition of Salem's Lot.
